Here are a some updates on what I’ve been up to and of course new music for your enjoyment.
Rhyming in Woodenbridge, Ireland. My wife and I along with our two teens, traveled with a group from our church (SoulCry Church NYC) to minister at a youth conference in the Republic of Ireland. We had a blast! I even met a young man, 17 from Latvia, who raps! He spit for me in his native language and even shared a rhyme in english for the first time ever. What a joy. Rhyming in Knoxville, Tennessee. Traveling with my wife is such a gift. Last week she and I visited Knoxville, Tennessee to represent Thrive Collective at the Leadership Foundations Mentoring Youth Summit. Knoxville is such a nice city. And of course I had to kick a few rhymes while there. I was asked to speak about youth mentoring and family engagement, so I did in rhyme form. It went like this.
Rhyming in NYC. Back on NYC soil and glad to be. Spending time with my wife and children, playing basketball with friends (in the freezing cold) working with rapper/producer Deca, finishing up our project. It’s so good! Can’t wait to share.
Lastly, I just want to say thank you. I recently had two tremendous opportunities come to me based on word of mouth. Someone recommended me. Someone told someone else about my music or about the work we’re doing with youth in our city. It’s a great encouragement. Stay tuned for more on this soon.
With all that said, I would be remiss not to mention rest. Rest, is essential and we have been doing our best to rest well. I started writing a song about it. You can hear the demo here. The producer’s name is Newselph.
Happy Holidays family!
Enjoy.
